  Wonderful place in the middle of the rainforest on a small island in the river. The island has paved paths that give you the opportunity to see the local nature independently. There is a pool and a small "beach" by the river. We had a small cabin overlooking the river. There is a hammock on the terrace that invites you to relax. The room was clean and functionally furnished. The staff is very warm and helpful. The food is prepared fresh every day and was always delicious. Fantastic place that I would like to visit again at any time

  The location is worth much more than 5 stars; I'm thinking 10 stars. From sunrise to sunset I enjoyed the beautiful view over the Suriname River. Here you can really relax. There is no WiFi and sometimes no electricity, but that only makes the stay even nicer. You can sit outside because there are no mosquitoes. Sometimes a little squirrel monkey comes to take a look. The reception with dance, music and singing was surprising. The houses are good. The service is cordial. At 6 o'clock the jug of hot water is ready and you can enjoy coffee and tea and the waking world. If the day starts with a hummingbird among the flowers, success is guaranteed. We did beautiful excursions, such as swimming in the river/waterfall, caiman spotting, jungle tour and a visit to the Saamaka Museum. Since I swam in the waterfall, I no longer need a jacuzzi. The performance of a Maroon women's group was well explained. This destination is worth the long trip across the river.

  Beautiful resort, very nice people, everything neatly arranged, good food, clean cabins, a super beautiful place in the middle of nature. But way too busy for us. Especially on excursions to surrounding villages, it is quite an invasion if you take a walk in the forest or village with 20 people. We enjoyed a gourd processing workshop in Malobi. What nice, hospitable people.

  What an enchanting place! We had beautiful views of the river, and the excursions were all worth it. Manager Noah is a radiant presence. And not unimportant: there are no mosquitoes! In the morning, coffee and tea are brought to your house, which you can drink on your veranda with a beautiful view of the river. We had a nice program with excursions, and time for relaxation in the river and the hammock. I would definitely recommend a 5 day stay, to really experience the place.
