::Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I left detailed below, which I hope will be helpful. The pool was great also. I wish I spent more time in it but...there's always next time. The hotel staff, especially the ladies at the front desk, were extremely cooperative and helpful to us. If you decide to stay at this hotel, then I hope that you'll also have a great stay and experience that we did. A little note for your stay anywhere in Suriname: some places accept USD without issue, but MOST places prefer SRD. There were some businesses that would inspect the USD and ask for your ID when you paid even. So, watch out for that, lol. We didn't have that issue at the hotel, so it came as a surprise when other places did.

::The hygienic situation is worrying, and the liner of the electric kettle is rusty! There is a musty smell in the corner of the bathroom, and the bath towels have unknown colors and stains! Feel very sick.

::I don’t usually leave reviews; however, I do not want others to make the same mistake that we did. My friends and I are from Guyana, and we thought we’d go on a mini vacation to Suriname, which we were extremely excited about! When we got to Hotel Babylon, however, everything starting going downhill quickly. We made reservations, which were paid in full a week prior to checking in, and we even called to confirm that everything was verified and that we were booked for this past weekend. However, upon arrival at the hotel, they refused to assist us because we did not have a Mastercard, only a Visa card. Why did they not mention to us sooner that we needed a Mastercard and they did not accept Visa cards? It was never mentioned to us over the phone when we called prior. We also used a Visa card to book the rooms and everything was fine. The customer service at this Hotel is unacceptable and just terrible. My friends and I are in our 20s and I don’t know if they thought they could take advantage of us because we are young, however, you do not run a business this way. The staff was very unhelpful and unwilling to help us get everything resolved, and even the manager had an attitude and was not patient nor helpful as well. They were not accommodating at all and honestly it was very disappointing. They were extremely rude with their remarks in regards to payment. They made us feel like we don’t have the money when the room was ALREADY paid for. Our driver wanted to book a room before we got there and was paying in full with cash, and it was an issue, remarks like “you can’t pay half here and some there.” were said, after he said he is paying the room in full. We honestly thought at this point that this Suriname was just not for us, we wondered if everyone here was as rude as everyone at Hotel Babylon. Gratefully, we found somewhere else, in which EVERYONE was helpful, humble, kind, and accommodating. We are so happy we took our service elsewhere. DO NOT STAY AT HOTEL BABYLON, just don’t do it to yourself.

::Nice location, walking distance from shopping malls and good restaurants. Nice pool to swim in, just try to avoid being there in weekends because then thd pool will be quite busy. The rooms were not cleaned properly, since I still see stains on the doorknobs, toilet flush and the sink. The hallway always has this funky bleach smell. The service could be a little friendlier, specially when they made a mistake with the payment.
