I opted for the roti with chicken, potatoes, and greens – a satisfying lunch portion at an affordable price of 150 SRD (less than US$4 during my visit). The staff was friendly and patient, and the indoor seating was clean and air-conditioned – a relief in the city's heat. For an authentic taste of Suriname, Joosje Roti Shop is a must-visit that won't disappoint.

::This restaurant looks very simple but the food is delicious. The lovely lady serving at the counter was really helpful when we didn't speak any Dutch, and we had a great meal. The restaurant itself and the toilets were very clean. Definitely want to go back!
