::Great place to stay inland. We immediately felt at home. It is run by people who come from the village themselves. Kukcy is a fantastic guide. And Cyrano a great administrator. Had a lovely swim in the sula and to the beach across the street. Had a nice walk in the woods and visited the village. We had been to inland villages before and this was the first time I didn't feel bad walking around them. Our children played football and swimming with boys from the village. Beautiful views from the houses. Thank you for the nice and personal welcome!

::Gunsi lodged an hour's sail from Atjoni. Upon arrival there is a climb up. It was made on a hill, so it is not very flat. Houses are basic. Own bath & toilet. Power is limited due to solar panel. No WiFi. You have reasonable range. There is a sula where you can enjoy a wonderful water massage (with descending and climbing again). The lodge is not finished, so he invests in sustainability. If you like nature, small scale and privacy then Gunsi is the right choice. Food and drinks were plentiful.

::I came here on my own as a young woman (20) and I was lovingly included in the social life of the owners and the children of the village who walk around the huts all day long. It was a very special and fun experience. I even still (3 years later) have contact with one of the residents.

::The perfect place to relax. From the houses you have a beautiful view of the river and the waterfall. We slept in our own hammock on the balcony of one of the houses at a reduced rate. It is easy to walk to the waterfall and here you can lie in the water. The food is included and usually good.
